Claire, founder of OnSide Communications, has worked in the sport industry for over 20 years, across multiple sports and global markets, both in-house and agency side.
She spent nine years at Nike in both European and UK Communications Director roles. Here she worked with global icons, clubs and federations from the world of football, launching industry-defining footwear, apparel and digital innovations for World Cups, European Championships and Champions League Finals.
Claire also led European Communications for Nike across Basketball, Jordan Brand, The NFL, Rugby, Golf and Athletic Training. Prior to joining Nike she worked at Hill + Knowlton Sport delivering strategic communications for global clients and sporting competitions.
She most recently held the position of Director of Marketing & Communications at England Netball, working across the Netball Superleague, the Vitality Roses and grassroots game.
Her very first job in Communications was working for Paul Ridley, Fleet Street legend and former Sports Editor of The Sun - who inspired her love for communications with his many wonderful stories of working in the sport industry, and is a mentor to her to this day.
She has a wealth of experience in building and delivering outstanding communications strategies to unlock the true value of sport sponsorship, connect with consumers and drive awareness; developing, activating and sustaining successful marketing and communications campaigns on a global scale.
A personal ambition in making OnSide Communications a success is to partner and collaborate with great people, to do great work, and achieve great results - with honesty, transparency and positivity.
